Liver Health Assessment
FibroScan
FibroScan is a non-invasive ultrasound-based test used to assess the stiffness of the liver, which correlates with the degree of liver fibrosis or scarring.

Discover the Non-Invasive FibroScan Test
FibroScan is a cutting-edge ultrasound test that helps assess liver stiffness and fibrosis without the need for invasive procedures. This technology offers quick results, allowing for a better understanding of your liver health. It’s simple, safe, and requires no downtime, making it a preferred option for many patients.
By using FibroScan, you gain insight into the health of your liver, which can help in the early detection and management of liver conditions. It’s particularly useful for individuals at risk of liver disease due to factors like alcohol consumption or hepatitis.
If you have questions about the procedure, our team is here to provide support and further information.
You will lie on your back with your right arm raised. A probe is placed on your skin over the liver area, emitting a pulse of energy. This pulse travels through the liver, and the speed of this wave is measured to calculate liver stiffness.
- Higher stiffness = More advanced fibrosis
- Lower stiffness = Healthier liver tissue
You may benefit from a FibroScan if you:
- Have abnormal liver enzyme levels (AST, ALT)
- Are diagnosed with fatty liver or hepatitis
- Are at risk for liver disease due to alcohol use or metabolic syndrome
- Are undergoing long-term treatment for liver conditions and need regular monitoring
Easy to prepare for:
- Do not eat or drink anything (except water) for at least 3 hours before your test
- Wear comfortable clothing – no need to change into a gown
- Inform your provider if you are pregnant or have an implantable device near the liver
Chronic Hepatitis B or C
Long-term infections caused by hepatitis B or C viruses can silently damage the liver over time, leading to inflammation, scarring (fibrosis), or even liver cancer. Early detection is key to managing progression.
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
A buildup of fat in the liver not caused by alcohol. Often linked to obesity, high cholesterol, or insulin resistance, NAFLD can progress to inflammation and fibrosis without noticeable symptoms.
Alcoholic Liver Disease
Excessive alcohol consumption damages liver cells, leading to inflammation, fat accumulation, and scarring. It can evolve into serious conditions like alcoholic hepatitis or cirrhosis if untreated. Get examined, and get your live back.
Cirrhosis
A late stage of liver scarring (fibrosis) caused by long-term liver damage. Cirrhosis can result from various liver diseases and conditions and may lead to liver failure if not managed early. Don't wait, get the help you need here.
Type 2 Diabetes
People with type 2 diabetes are at higher risk of developing liver complications, particularly non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Elevated blood sugar and insulin resistance can lead to fat buildup and inflammation in the liver, even without alcohol use.
Obesity-Related Liver Conditions
Excess body weight, especially abdominal fat, is closely linked to liver fat accumulation. Over time, this can trigger inflammation and scarring (fibrosis), increasing the risk for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis.
Why Choose FibroScan?
- Non-invasive – No needles or incisions
- Fast – Takes just 5–10 minutes
- Painless – Similar to a regular ultrasound
- Accurate – Provides reliable data to guide diagnosis and treatment
- Immediate Results – Results are available right after the procedure
